Domain Transfers
Dmarcer lets you transfer domains between MSPs. This means that if a customer moves to a different service provider, their domain management and historical monitoring data can move with them.
Before You Start
To transfer domains, you will need the Tenant ID of the MSP who is receiving them.
You can find your own Tenant ID by going to Profile Menu > Transfers. It is shown in the top-right corner of the page.
Transferring Domains
- Go to Profile Menu > Transfers.
- Choose what you would like to transfer:
- A single domain, or
- An entire customer account.
- Enter the Tenant ID of the receiving MSP.
- Dmarcer will show you the receiving partner's name, so you can check the transfer is going to the right organisation.
- Click Send Invitation.
What Happens Next?
An invitation email is sent to the receiving MSP.
The receiving MSP needs to accept the transfer within 14 days. Once they accept, ownership of the chosen domains and their historical monitoring data moves to their Dmarcer tenant.
- Only validated domains can be transferred.
- Domains still count towards your licence allocation until the receiving MSP accepts the transfer request.
- If the invitation is not accepted within 14 days, the request expires and you will need to send it again.
